Harvard Book Store, the New York Review of Books, and Guardian America enthusiastically present a panel discussion of the 2008 U.S. presidential election with contributors MICHAEL TOMASKY, PETER W. GALBRAITH, FRANCES FITZGERALD, and MARK DANNER.

The night will also feature snacks in the form of pizza from Cambridge 1, followed by a big-screen, LIVE screening of the evening's final presidential debate.

Michael Tomasky is editor of Guardian America, The Guardian ’s American website. From 1995 to 2002, he was a columnist at New York magazine, where wrote the "City Politic" column. His work has also appeared in the New York Times Book Review, the Washington Post, Harper's, the Nation, the New York Review of Books, Dissent, and others publications. Tomasky is the author of Left for Dead: The Life, Death, and Possible Resurrection of Progressive Politics in America, a study of the intellectual collapse of the American left, and other books. As of 2007, Tomasky lives with his wife in Maryland.

Peter W. Galbraith served as the first U.S. Ambassador to Croatia. He is currently the Senior Diplomatic Fellow at the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation and a regular contributor to The New York Review of Books. He lives in Townshend, Vermont.

Frances FitzGerald is the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Fire in the Lake: The Vietnamese and the Americans in Vietnam and the author of, most recently, Vietnam: Spirits of the Earth. She is also a frequent contributor to The New York Review of Books.

Mark Danner, former longtime staff writer at The New Yorker and current frequent contributor to The New York Review of Books, is the author of The Massacre at El Mozote, The Road to Illegitimacy, and Torture and Truth. He is Professor of Journalism at the University of California at Berkeley and Henry R. Luce Professor of Human Rights and Journalism at Bard College. He lives in Berkeley and New York.
