Drum roll, please. With September 1st just a month away, we've been rolling out our blockbuster fall events roster over at harvard.com/events. And it's time to shout it from the rooftops. Please join us this September in welcoming the stellar lineup of writers, artists, entertainers, and intellectuals coming to town to present their latest books.
» For thriller buffs: You will not want to miss the once-in-a-lifetime chance to see Jack Reacher-creator Lee Child interviewed by Stephen King at Sanders Theatre on September 9th.
» For memoir readers: Mary Karr, renowned memoirist, teacher, and the author of The Liar's Club (credited with sparking the current memoir explosion), will discuss her book The Art of Memoir.
» For aficionados of literary fiction: Salman Rushdie returns with a spellbinding work of fiction that blends history, mythology, and a timeless love story, Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights.
» For artists and creative types: Elizabeth Gilbert, the beloved author of Eat, Pray, Love and The Signature of All Things, digs deep into the creative process with Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear.

Tax Holiday Sale
 This week the Massachusetts Legislature once again passed a summer sales-tax holiday, and hey, what a perfect time to get more books! On August 15th and 16th, Harvard Book Store (and harvard.com!) will offer a 15% discount on top of purchases being tax-free all weekend. Learn more here.
