The Light Outside is a chapbook of twenty-six poems by George Kovach, the founding editor and publisher of CONSEQUENCE magazine, an international literary journal that focuses on the culture and consequences of war. For over ten years he led writing workshops for war veterans with PTSD. He is a decorated combat veteran who served with the 27th Infantry Regiment in Vietnam. This collection of poems is a meditation on darkness that threatens to engulf and a search for equanimity, for light that reveals each day’s horizon. Read an excerpt here: https://www.
