"I love John Green's books. He has this knack for writing quirky, banter-y characters that I wish I could meet in real life just so I could give them a hug. And then we'd get a soda and fries and talk about Life! and Art! and Literature! and What It All Means! and maybe Comic Books! (They're the kind of characters you know would have discussions that always include exclamations from sheer exuberance.) If I ever meet a fellow who says to me, "You're so busy being you that you have no idea how utterly unprecedented you are." I imagine I shall instantly have a new friend and a new crush.
This book will make you both laugh and cry (sometimes at the same time). Although the characters in this book deal with terrible tragedy, they somehow maintain a sense of wonder. Keep your tissues handy while reading, and maybe don't go out in public toward the end.
