Harvard Book Store's virtual event series, the Harvard University Division of Science, and the Harvard Library welcome renowned theoretical physicist CARLO ROVELLI—author of Seven Brief Lessons in Physics and The Order of Time—for a discussion of his latest, highly anticipated book, Helgoland: Making Sense of the Quantum Revolution. He will be joined in conversation by fellow theoretical physicist KATIE MACK, author of the celebrated The End of Everything (Astrophysically Speaking).

Carlo Rovelli

Carlo Rovelli is an Italian theoretical physicist, the head of the quantum gravity group at the Centre de Physique Théorique of Aix-Marseille Université. He is one of the founders of the loop quantum gravity theory and author of the international bestseller Seven Brief Lessons on Physics, Reality Is Not What It Seems, and The Order of Time. Rovelli lives in Marseille, France.

Dr. Katie Mack is a theoretical astrophysicist, exploring a range of questions in cosmology, the study of the universe from beginning to end. She is currently an assistant professor of physics at North Carolina State University, where she is also a member of the Leadership in Public Science Cluster. She has been published in a number of popular publications, such as Scientific American, Slate, Sky & Telescope, Time, and Cosmos magazine, where she is a columnist.
